We are very excited to be holding our February meeting at Wellington Zoo! This is a very special, very unique Wellington venue and while a lot of us will have spent some time there either visiting as a kid or with kids ,there’s more to this venue than just the animals!
Join us at 5.30pm for drinks and nibbles before heading off on a guided tour of some of the venues and see some of the animals. Being Wellington be aware there are some parts of the zoo that are a bit hilly, so bear that in mind when choosing your footwear. The zoo have also offered if you want to head up there early and have a walk around the zoo you are welcome to do so - however at 5pm you will need to stay in the Kamala's function room until our guided tour starts. There will be a guest list at the entrance to the zoo so the staff there will check you off and point you in the right direction.
Getting there and Parking
The zoo is located right next to the Newtown Athetics Park and you can park in this carpark free of charge. If you're catching a bus it's the number 23 from the city that stops right outside the zoo - it does only go every 30 minutes however.
If you are driving and able to offer a ride to other members - either to or from or both - please make a comment on the website to let everyone know and arrange from there.
Dietary Requirements
Don’t forget you can add dietary requirements to your website profile and this will be added automatically when you RSVP to any of our events via the website – so do it once and you don’t need to do it again!
