Laraine Thomson (Co-chair)

Laraine is an Executive Assistant supporting the CEO of Infratil/Morrison Partner and the CFO of Infratil.  She joined the Management Team in 2022 as a general member, partnering with the events team to deliver high-quality events and in 2025 stepped into a Co-chair role alongside Victoria Love.  

Outside work Laraine enjoys time with her four grandchildren, cross fit classes and relaxing with friends.

Victoria Love (Co-chair)

Victoria has been a PACE member since 2022, as a commitment to professional excellence and leadership. Victoria is currently the Executive Services Manager and Board Secretary at the Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC), and, with her team, provides support to the Board, Commissioners, Chief Executive, and the wider organisation.

Before joining TAIC, Victoria spent five years at the Department of Internal Affairs, starting as a Senior Private Secretary and later becoming a Portfolio Manager. In these roles, she managed administrative and personnel needs for ministers' offices and recruited staff to support government functions.

Earlier in her career, Victoria worked in the service delivery sector, spanning training, IT, and contact centres, where she gained expertise in leadership, project management, and sales.

Julie Oldershaw (Membership Coordinator)

Julie joined PACE in early 2017 and joined the Management Team in December 2023.  Julie is the EA to the Privacy Commissioner and the Wellington Office Manager and has been in the role for 13 years.  During this time she has worked for three Privacy Commissioners.  Prior to that Julie was the EA/Office Manager at Craig Craig Moller Architects for 10 years.  Julie has also held various EA/Office Manager roles at Department of Statistics, State Services Commission, Department of Survey & Land Information and Dow Consultancy Group.  

As relaxation Julie enjoys reading, cinema, knitting for charity, gardening, dragging her husband out for walks and catching up with friends and family.

Sarah Webb

Sarah is a proactive and dedicated Senior Executive Assistant with over 15 years of experience providing high-level support across public and private sectors. Currently supporting the Auditor-General and Deputy Auditor-General of New Zealand, she specialises in executive coordination, governance support, and strategic administration.

Known for her reliability, discretion, and ability to anticipate needs, she thrives in dynamic environments where collaboration drives success. Sarah leads teams, manage complex schedules, and deliver seamless event and travel coordination, all while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

An active PACE member since 2020, she is committed to continuous professional development and sees her role as an integral extension of the leadership team-working together to achieve the best outcomes.

Sydean Kendrick (General Member - Events)

Sydean has been a PACE member since 2021 and joined the Management Team in November 2025. She is currently the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief Executive, Strategic Enablement at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), a role she has held since July 2023.

With an administrator background spanning government, diplomatic, and corporate environments, Sydean has seen and done it all from managing calendars, coordinating international travel, supporting event planning, and handling the many behind-the-scenes details for functions, military ceremonies, and high-profile visits—all with the key aim of making life easier for the people she supports.

Donna Northcott

Venise Comfort

Venise joined PACE 2025, driven by a commitment to strong governance practice and high-quality executive support. She is currently the Senior Board Governance Officer and Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive at WorkSafe New Zealand, where she provides governance support to the Board and ELT and enables effective leadership across the organisation.

Before joining WorkSafe, Venise held a range of senior administrative and operational roles in the public and private sectors, supporting executives and board members to ensure good governance practice and processes.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a qualitative researcher, which gave her a strong grounding in asking the ‘why’ questions and sparked a deep curiosity about human behaviour. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping her indoor and outdoor plants thriving, jigsaw puzzles, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
