We are opening the invitation back up to all members as some of you may now be able to make the new date (postponed from March).

Waveney Parkinson is a born and bred Wellingtonian.  Educated at Queen Margaret College and Gilby’s Business College, she started her first secretarial role working for the American Embassy in 1971 and ended her career as Senior Executive Assistant in the Mayor’s office at the end of 2019.

Waveney’s story is both personal and professional and about why she chose her career path spanning 48 years; the highs and the lows, with particular focus on her 25 years at Wellington City Council working for two Chief Executives and five Mayors.
