Resilience Training - Lieutenant Colonel Clare Bennett
Clare will be covering understanding stress and how it affects us, signs to look out for when we are not going ok, techniques for staying resilient and managing life’s daily challenges.
Clare is the mental health lead for the NZDF within the Directorate of Health and is responsible for the development and implementation of the NZDF Mental Health Strategy. She started her career as a Psychologist with the New Zealand Army in 1987, completing 20 years of regular force service in various roles including as a military psychologist and my latterly in policy and strategy roles. After working in broader government roles for seven years, managing people capability development and business transformation functions Clare recently returned to the NZDF to take up the role as Chief Mental Health Officer. In 2003 Clare was made a Member New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for her contribution to human resources. Clare holds a degree in Psychology, and Masters in Business Studies and Strategic Studies.
